Estheticians specialize in providing treatments and giving advice on skin care. The esthetics profession requires both knowledge of skin care and the skills to perform facials and other techniques. Illinois requires an esthetics license to ensure that applicants have the knowledge and skills to safely treat clients. License applicants must complete educational and testing requirements to obtain an Illinois esthetics license. They can then obtain skin-care jobs or start a business as a licensed esthetician. Graduate from an approved esthetics school. Obtain an official transcript from your school that has the school seal affixed to it.
