Neutralizing oven cleaner smell is a significant aspect of oven cleaning. Today, many chemical-based oven cleaners leave offensive smells within the oven, long after cleaning. Apart from being detrimental to health, lingering oven cleaner smells can also alter food taste and affect the natural aromas emitted by them. Thankfully, there are some simple, safe and healthy methods to neutralize oven cleaner smells. Take a large-sized lemon and cut a thick slice out of it. Place the slice on a paper towel and put it in your microwave oven. Lemon is a pleasant-smelling citrus fruit with proven natural deodorizing and cleaning properties. Set the temperature on your microwave oven to high, and time setting at approximately one or two minutes. Keep the microwaved slice of lemon in the oven overnight.
