The thing about algae is that it can be everywhere within a fish tank. Algae thrives in fish tanks, and there are even various types that withstand water purification processes. You’ve probably seen the telltale green screen beginning to form across your tank, ruining the view of your fish. If you follow these steps, though, you can soon find yourself without algae in your tank. You can also do it completely naturally. Install a UV sterilizer into your tank. These are easily mountable on the side of the tank. Simply attach the plastic hook on the side of the sterilizer to the lip of the tank. Turn the sterilizer to tighten it against the tank, much like a clamp. Water gets pumped through here, and UV rays kill algae…as well as other fish pathogens and bacteria that can harm your pets.
