How Do You Move Internet Explorer Favorites To A New Computer?
Internet Explorer Favorites are stored files containing links and names of your favorite web pages, allowing you to find those pages quickly and easily. If you purchase a new computer, or perhaps you work on two different computers, you can move your favorites from the first computer to the second. First, you must export your Favorites to a flash drive or CD, then you can import the Favorites onto your new computer. Open Internet Explorer on the original computer from which you want to move your Favorites. Click the “Add to Favorites” button on the toolbar, then click “Import/Export.” The “Import/Export Wizard” will begin. Click “Next,” select “Export Favorites” and click “Next” again. Click on the “Favorites” folder at the top of the list and click “Next.” Save the resulting “Bookmark” file to your desktop. Click “Next” then click “Finish.” Close Internet Explorer.
