How Do You Move A Washer & Dryer?
Like any household appliance, washers and dryers need to be handled and moved with care. Because of their bulk and the cords and attachments that come along with them, they can be tricky to move properly. Having the right tools as well as enough willing helpers will make the process much easier. Acquire an appliance dolly or hand truck in order to keep the bulk and weight distribution even when you move the dryer. Remove the metallic hose from the back of the dryer. Store the hose in the dryer so you have it on hand when you are ready to set the dryer up again. If you have an electric dryer, unplug it, loop and secure the cord with tape to the back of the dryer to keep it out of the way. If you have a gas dryer, turn off the gas and remove the hose. Loop and secure it, storing it in the dryer until you need it again. Carefully slide the dryer onto the dolly. For extra security and support (for instance, going down stairs) bungee or tie the appliance to the dolly frame. Have at least tw
