Window boxes are great for decorating the outside of your home. They add color and elegance to any decor. If you’ve always wanted to have a window box to showcase some beautiful cascading flowers, you can install it in about an hour. The window boxes can be purchased at any nursery or home improvement store. Once you have your box, you’re ready to install it to the exterior of your home. You’ll have flowers planted in them in no time at all. Measure the flower box as well as the window. Determine the middle of both the box and window. Mark the middle of both with a pencil. Use a drill to drill 3/4-inch holes 18 to 20 inches apart in the back of the flower box. Place the flower box to the window, centering it. While holding the box with one hand, stick a pencil through both of the holes on the inside of the flower box to mark on the exterior of the house.
