Take into account the length of the shower curtain and where the shower curtain and liner will hang. Measure the distance from one wall to the other. If necessary, trim the rod to fit using a hacksaw. Insert the rod into the brackets, and position the brackets on the walls. The rod should fit snugly and hold the brackets in place.
