Installing a privacy fence on concrete is fairly simple. Home and garden stores carry a variety of stud bolts that can be used in concrete. These bolts expand inside a drilled hole in the concrete to anchor a equipment, machinery or other objects to the ground. With a few tools and supplies, you can save time and money by installing your home’s privacy fence yourself. Mark where posts will need to be attached to the concrete. For a straight fence, make marks at the ends of the fence and then snap lines using a chalk box. A laser line generator will also work. Place post anchors at the marks. Lay the post anchors so that they represent how the post will be when installed. Drill holes into the concrete with a masonry bit. The hole should be the same size as the anchor bolt. Place the post with the anchor attached. Place stud bolt anchors in the drilled holes and tap them down with a hammer.
