Wall mounting a plasma TV is a great way to save some space in your home and give it a different look than what you’d get with a TV stand or entertainment center. If you choose to mount your TV over a brick fireplace, you’ll likely have to do so without the assistance of wall studs. Mounting a plasma TV without wall studs is a little bit more difficult, but it’s still possible and takes only a little more time and special drill bit. Determine the height at which you want to mount your TV, and place the flat side of the wall plate against the wall at that height. Use a marker to mark the spots where you will drill to secure your wall plate–you should mark three spots in the top row of slots on the wall plate and three spots in the bottom row of slots.
