How Do You Mod A Nerf Recon?
The Nerf brand Recon pistol fires foam darts that are designed to be safe if they hit someone. The Recon has been crippled by the manufacturer to decrease the amount of air pressure generated when fired. Modifying, or “modding,” the Recon will enable a foam dart to travel for a much greater distance. You will need to disassemble the Recon in order to mod it–voiding any warranty that might be in place. The modification only requires a few common household tools. Place a soft cloth on a table. Place the Recon on the soft cloth with the barrel facing to the right. Remove the screw from beneath the tip of the barrel with the Phillips screwdriver. Remove the screw across from the screw beneath the barrel. Remove the two screws from the top front and back edge of the Recon with the Phillips screwdriver.
