How Do You Mix Synthetic And Mineral Oils?

0

For many years it was thought that the mixing of synthetic and mineral motor oil would lead to leakage and corrosion problems in vehicles. However, with the upgrade of many materials and additives used in motor oil, this is no longer a worry. In fact, in many climates where the weather varies a great deal, synthetic oil is often mixed with mineral oil to help a car crank easier in very cold weather. Mixing the two kinds of oil is not difficult at all and the car engine itself does most of the work. Place a pan underneath your car to capture any oil that is released while you are working. Remove the oil drain plug that holds the oil in your car motor. Use a wrench to loosen the plug and unscrew it all the way with your hand. Turn the plug counterclockwise to loosen. Drain the oil. Let it collect in the pan that you placed under the drain plug. Replace the drain plug when the oil is finished draining. Remove the oil filler cap located under the hood of your car. Place a funnel in the oil
