How Do You Mix Ingredients For A White Cake Recipe?
“Hi! My name is Kip and I’m here on behalf of Expert Village. Today we’re making a white Christmas cake. Take a half a cup of the flour that we’re going to use and set that aside. We’ll then add our teaspoon of baking soda and a teaspoon of baking powder and our sugar. We’ll want to mix that in together. Mix it well so that it’s combined nicely. In this step, we’re going to fold our flour mixture into our butter mixture. I just like to take a couple of cups at a time. This is a half a cup measuring cup. We’re just going to fold that in. That just means that we’re going to bring the material over on top of itself. We’re not going to do a vigorous stirring of this. Add some more. We’ll go ahead and add the last of it. We just want to fold this on top of it. Fold it until all of the flour chunks are wet. It’s okay if it’s a little lumpy. We just don’t want it to be over mixed, and we don’t want any of the flour to show that doesn’t have any moisture on it. Fold that in, and then we’ll be
