How Do You Mix Bone & Blood Meal For Potting Soil?
One of the most important things for a successful garden (whether flower or vegetable) is starting with great soil. Great soil will encourage the roots to spread and grow, get the correct amount of water, and to keep the flower or vegetable strong and healthy. In addition to regular soil, there are fertilizers that can enhance the soil for better growth of the flower or vegetable. Blood meal is rich in nitrogen, and bone meal is rich in phosphorus. Blood meal and bone meal are used commonly to fertilize the soil, and they can be mixed together to create a fantastic garden. Pour the potting soil into the pot of choice. Do not fill the pot all the way up with soil. Fill it about halfway up. Pour in 1/2 cup of blood meal. Use a spade to mix the meal into the potting soil. Pour in 1 cup of bone meal.
