School’s a bummer, but your grades shouldn’t be. Getting organized and passing things in on time add up and you’ll feel much better if your on the ball. • Make sure you can learn in the class. Go to the bookstore and browse the book section for your classes. If a class is especially important to you see if there are any professional outlines, flash cards or other study aids. If its a core class make a list of things you had trouble with this year or last year and look up the simple answers on the internet. Then read them over a few times or put them onto a wordsheet for your binder. You can’t learn if you don’t know what their talking about! • Purchase your textbook and other materials early enough to read the first few chapters before your first day of class. The first few weeks of class are usually hectic. Having some reading done ahead can really reduce stress. • Talk to people who have taken the professor before and ask for advice, but also evaluate each professor yourself. Some of
