Melting chocolate can be the beginning of an excellent dessert. However, you have to be careful not to burn the chocolate. Here is a simple way that you can melt chocolate without burning it. Fill a medium-sized saucepan roughly a third of the way full with water. Bring the water to a boil. Place a glass bowl onto top of the saucepan. The bowl needs to rest on top of the saucepan without touching the water. Bring the water down to a simmer. Add the pieces of chocolate that you desire (i.e. chocolate chips, broken pieces of chocolate candy) to the bowl. Once the chocolate begins to melt, gently stir with a wooden spoon. Remove the bowl from the saucepan when almost all of the chocolate has melted. There should still be a few select pieces of chocolate in the bowl that are not completely melted. Place the bowl somewhere either on the stove or on a table and continue to stir. The heat from the chocolate and the bowl will melt the remainder of the chocolate without causing any of it to bur
