How Do You Measure Humidity In A Terrarium?
Reptiles are delicate animals that require a high degree of care and responsibility. Though they vary widely, many reptiles demand a humid environment and are best suited for terrarium life, which are habitats that are partly terrestrial and partly aquatic. You should ideally keep the humidity level between 85 and 100 percent, which can be done by misting the tank. Measuring the humidity level in your terrarium is a very easy task, and requires only a humidity gauge that can be purchased at practically any pet store or hardware store. Select a spot for the humidity gauge. These devices stick to the glass wall inside your terrarium. Find a spot that is as far away from the water source as possible and low to the ground. The spot should also be along the back wall of the terrarium so that you can clearly see the gauge face. Wipe the spot you’ve selected for your gauge down thoroughly to remove any dirt or dust. Peel the wax paper off the back of the gauge, revealing the adhesive backing.
