How Do You Measure Hot Tub Cover Radius?
Hot tubs come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Hot tubs with rounded corners can be difficult to measure because you will have to factor in the radius into the measurement to properly size your cover. If you do not measure properly, you could end up with a cover that does not fit properly. The best way to measure is with a builder’s square, but you can use the less precise tracing method. Place the builder’s square on the corner of the hot tub cover. Measure the distance from the corner of the square to where the square touches the tub. Round the measurement to the next lowest size. For example, if your measurement is 6.15 inches and you can choose a cover with a 6-in. radius and a cover with a 6.5-in. radius, chose the 6-in. radius. Place the paper over the corner of your hot tub and trace the corner of your hot tub onto the paper. Complete the circle as best you can from the corner you drew on the paper.
