The wattage of a bulb is its amount of electric power. Place a white towel on a table. Place an adjustable lamp on the edge of the towel. Place a thermometer on the towel. Measure the distance from the bulb to the thermometer. Record the room temperature, and write it down. Insert your lowest watt bulb into the lamp. Adjust lamp to make it angle over the thermometer.
