How Do You Measure For Floor Tiling?
In order to know how many tiles it takes to retile a room, you will need to first measure for floor tiling. If you are lucky, you will be working with a square or rectangular room. In some instances, the room might jut out in one direction or another. Regardless of the shape of the room, it is not complicated to measure for floor tiling. Measure the room from the doorway to the back of the room. For the purposes of this demonstration, say that the room measures 10 feet. Measure the left side of the room to the right side of the room. If the room is an odd shape, measure it at the longest point. For example, say that the measurement is 12 feet. Multiply the two numbers. In this case, multiply 10 feet by 12 feet. This will give you a total area of 120 feet. Determine what size of tile you are going to use.
