Playing baseball can be tough on your hands, especially while you are batting. Sometimes if you hit the ball just right you can send a shock through your hands, and the wood or rubber against your bare hands can cause blisters. This is why wearing batting gloves is an excellent idea, because it protects your hands from from the numbness and blisters batting can cause. Open up your palm and extend the fingers so your hand is perfectly erect. You need the hand to look as if you are stiffly waving to someone. Wrap the clothing tape measure around the palm of your hand, just below the fingers. Take the measurement in inches. Look at the glove size chart listed in the Resources section of this article.
