One of the most loyal retainers of the warlord Nobunaga Oda, Ranmaru Mori is a fearsome warrior toting the largest sword in the game. However, because of his weapon’s size, he can be tricky to use really well. This should help you start kicking tail with Ranmaru! Unlock him first. To play Ranmaru, all you need to do is play Akechi Mitsuhide’s Story Mode through. Know his weakness. Ranmaru’s biggest handicap is his weapon speed. Because his Nodachi is so big, it is VERY slow. It clears large groups of enemies in single strokes, but it is not suited for quick movements. Avoid the quick. If you run up against fast opponents like Wind Ninjas, you may want to reconsider. Ranmaru is particularly vulnerable to enemies who can get behind him quickly. Watch out for Ninjas! Hanzo Hattori and Kunoichi are two of the worst people to fight with Ranmaru. While their defense may be relatively weak, their attacks are strong and they are fast as the wind. Use caution fighting them! Use what you’ve got!
