Marinated mushrooms are very delicious and can make a perfect appetizer, addition to potato meals or be a part of an independent recipe. Here is a very easy recipe how to marinate them. If you do it yourself you can be sure there are no harmful preservatives and they are fresh and safe to eat! You might want to make them for future use as they store perfectly for up to two weeks in the refrigerator or even for months if used sterilized cans. Clean and wash mushrooms.Cut them in pieces if they are big. Prepare the marinade: Add to the water vinegar, salt, black pepper, bay leaves, cloves and bring to the boil. Put the mushrooms into the boiling water and cook them until they are ready about 25 – 30 minutes. When the mushrooms will sink they are ready. Get them out of the water with a colander, cool them off and you can serve them with olive oil, sour cream and chopped onions or place in the refrigerator. They will be good for 2 weeks if kept cool.
