How Do You Manufacture Grape Seed Oil?
Grape seed oil is manufactured for two main reasons, skin and cooking. The light oil has virtually no smell. If processed for the skin, it can help slow the aging process; the oil’s antioxidants remove sun damage, while another component tightens the skin. The light oil is easily absorbed, and leaves no residue. In cooking, it does not burn off like other oils, so less oil is needed, and dishes are lower in fat. Dehydrate the pomace. Grape seed oil comes from the seeds in grapes. Collect the seeds after the grapes are processed to remove the juice. The seeds are in the pomace, or skin and fibers, that remain after the process. The pomace needs to be dehydrated so that the shells can be removed from the seeds. Remove the outer shells of the seeds. In a manufacturing facility, a machine is used to take the shell off. Use a press to push the oil out of the seeds. A large quantity of seeds has to be pressed to create a small amount of oil. Put the seeds into a container with small holes in
