Gas dryers, while they share many of the same basic parts as the electric dryer, have their own problems that may require repair over the years. As your dryer gets older, pieces begin to wear down, and you may notice it’s not working as well as it should. It may not be working at all. There are several repairs you can make on your gas dryer to save you the expensive of hiring a professional. Step 1 Turn the dryer on and note what happens. If the dryer is working but the clothes are not drying, the problem is with the heating. If the dryer won’t turn on at all, there may be an electrical problem.
