How Do You Manage Working A Night Shift?
Typically a company will have three shifts. These include a morning, afternoon and night shift. The third shift normally goes into the next day and possibly longer, depending on how the hours break down. For someone who is not used to working a night shift, it can be a difficult adjustment. However, after your body adjusts and you learn a few techniques, you will be able to manage working a night shift. Get plenty of rest. Make sure you go to sleep within the first few hours after you come home. If you do not get enough sleep during the day, it will be easier to get tired during your shift. Get darker colored window blinds to block out the sun if you have trouble sleeping. Eat a decent-sized meal before the start of your shift, and pack enough for your break.
