How Do You Manage Change As A Supervisor?
Change is inevitable and constant. However at work it can be deadly if not managed appropriately. Here is how to guide your staff through change and help them to respond and adapt appropriately. Talk to staff and ensure that they participate in every step of the change process. Make sure throughout the process that they have the opportunity to comment and make suggestions. Show that the change will do nothing to reduce their importance to the organization or result in downsizing which could cost them their jobs. Make sure that you tell them that they will receive training in any new skills required of them due to the change. Then make sure that you follow through with the training. Give as must forewarning as possible so they can get accustomed to the idea that change is coming Give everyone the opportunity after the change is implemented to provide feedback.
