How Do You Make Zipper Bag Omelets?
Have you ever heard of this recipe? It works great when you have a large group of family or friends together. Everyone can have their own special order omelet without much fuss. This is also a fun recipe to make while camping. Kids love it (so do grown ups!) Delicious and fun. Have guests write their name on a quart-sized zipper freezer bag with a permanent marker. Crack 2 eggs into the bag (not more than 2 eggs) and shake to combine them. Put out a variety of ingredients such as: cheeses, diced ham, onion, green pepper, tomato, hash browns, salsa, etc. Each guest adds prepared ingredients of choice to the eggs in their bag. Shake to combine. Make sure to get as much of the air out of the bag as possible, then zip it up tight. Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes. You can usually cook 6 to 8 omelets in a large pot. If you have more than 8, put on a second large pot of boiling water. With tongs, carefully remove the bags from the boiling water. Open the bag
