Making your own jewelry is not only an inexpensive way to add custom designed jewelry pieces to your accessory collection, but also a craft project that can be both relaxing and inexpensive. You can find all the supplies that you will need at a craft store. You can also repurpose old pieces of beaded jewelry that you no longer wear into beautiful wire wrapped bracelets and rings with little to no crafting experience. Place your 20 gauge wire on your ring mandrel, leaving 6 inches of wire on one side, so that the wire will be wrapped at the place on the mandrel that is about a size bigger than you want the finished ring to be. Wrap the wire around the mandrel at least 3 times, you can wrap it more times if you desire a thicker band. Twist the two ends of wire together. Wrap the 6 inch length of wire around the entire ring band 3 times. Thread the first bead on the longer length of wire, bringing it down to the base of the wire.
