How Do You Make Wool Pom Poms?

0

Who doesn’t like to cheer for the home team? Cheering and riling up a crowd to support a team are all about standing out and making people take notice of you. But those old-fashioned, plastic streamer pom-poms are simply boring. If you really want to stand out in the crowd, make your own. All you need is an old, wool sweater and some decorative shells and you’ll be cheering and shaking in no time. Cut the sweater, sleeves and all, horizontally into long, 1/2-inch-wide strips. Cut those strips in half. Take each strip and tie a few knots into it along its length. This is to prevent the fibers and strands from coming loose. Cut the dowel into 3 one-foot pieces. Glue the knotted wool strands to one end of the dowel. Glue enough for the dowel to look full, like a wool wig. Glue the decorative shells or beads to the end of each knotted wool strand.
