How Do You Make Witch Shoe Covers?
One of the most popular costumes for Halloween is that of a witch. No witch costume is complete without matching shoes. Rather than spending money on costume shoes, you can make your own shoe covers that will give your shoes a “witch” makeover. These shoes covers are relatively simple to make with the use of inexpensive supplies. Lay a pair of shoes sideways onto a piece of black felt material. Trace the profile of each shoe, once with the toe of the shoe facing left and once with the toe facing right. It’s best to use shoes that have high sides such as boots, ankle boots or high-top sneakers. Cut out the tracings. Cut about 1 inch farther than the outline that you traced to allow for a little extra material, which you will need later. Peel off the adhesive on a strip of a hook and loop fastener, and attach it to the front of one of the cutouts.
