How Do You Make Window Valances With A Nautical Theme?

0

I love the sand and sea, so when I found out I was pregnant it made perfect sense for me to create a nautical nursery. Aside from sea foam walls and sandy plush carpeting, I designed homemade window valances ideal for a nursery or even a ocean cottage with a nautical theme. First of all, purchase several feet of tulle material depending upon the size of your, window from a fabric shop. Next, wrap the tulle loosely around your curtain rods so that it naturally drapes down in several waves. Purchase medium sized starfish at a craft store and place one in each wave created by the tulle. You can also use sand dollars, seashells, etc. Then glue a large starfish onto each end of the curtain rod with a hot glue gun. These super easy homemade nautical window valances are adorable for a nursery or even a cottage by the sea!
