This whole wheat pastry crust is a the ideal, healthy accompaniment to any pie, quiche, or tart. It’s flaky, crisp, and absolutely delicious! Place flour, sugar and salt in a food processor. Slice cold butter into several pieces and place in food processor along with cold crisco. (Keep these 2 items in the refrigerator until ready to use, they must be cold.) Briefly pulse ingredients until they begin to form small pea size balls. Add ice water to mixture and combine until one large ball of dough is formed. If mixture is to dry, additional ice water can be added 1 tablespoon at time until moist enough. Remove dough from food processor. If making a pie with a top and bottom crust, divide the dough evenly. Roll each into a ball, then with your palms, press down to form a cylindrical disk shape. Wrap each separately in cling wrap or and air tight container and place in the refrigerator for a minimum 30 minutes. Dough can also be refrigerated overnight. Once dough has chilled, remove from r
