How Do You Make Wedding Paper Lanterns?
For your wedding use paper lanterns to create a romantic atmosphere. Softly glowing paper lanterns light the way for the bride and groom. Or use to decorate tables for the wedding reception. However you choose to decorate with them, making your own paper lanterns is quick and cost effective. Open up a paper bag and set it on your work surface. Place a sticker on the inside of the bottom of the bag directly in the center. Cut an “X” through the sticker with a box cutter; the sticker will reinforce the bag. Open up the second paper bag. Cut out shapes on all four sides of the bag using the scrapbooking punch. Use any shape or a combination of shapes from hearts, stars, flowers, and half moons. Attach ribbon to the bottom of the bag. Sit the bag upright on your work surface, reach inside and cut three slits using the box cutter. Cut 9 pieces of ribbon approximately 12 inches each.
