How Do You Make Wedding Cake Icing?
Wedding cake can cost a pretty penny when ordered at a bakery. The cost isn’t based on the materials to make the cake, it is based on the labor. A wedding cake can take hours to make and get just right for the bride and groom. Some brides and groom’s, however, are on a tight budget. One way they can cut costs is to make the wedding cake themselves or have a family member do it. Then all they need to pay for are the supplies. The cake recipe is a normal one, but the icing is a bit different. Here is how you make wedding cake icing. Allow butter to soften to room temperature for one hour. Place the butter and shortening in the mixing bowl and combine until smooth. Add the vanilla extract, almond extract, milk, and confectioners’ sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix with a mixer for five minutes. The frosting is now complete. Cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator until you need to use it. It is best to only make the frosting one day in advance.
