How Do You Make Unique Homemade Invitation Cards With Fabric?
Making homemade invitations shows how excited you are about your upcoming event. Combine your craft supplies to create unusual designs on your cards. Give your homemade invitations texture and style with fabric designs created by you. Fold a pre-cut card blank in half on the scored line. Or use card stock as the card backing: Cut the card stock to the size you like and fold the card stock in the center to create a fold-over card. Use a white pencil or a piece of chalk to sketch a design onto the fabric. This could be a flower, hearts, snowmen or even a swimming pool. Draw parts of the design onto different fabric to create a contrasting look. Cut the design out of the fabric using scissors. Or instead of drawing your own design, cut a pre-printed design out of fabric. Place a thin layer of tacky glue on the back of the fabric design. Position the fabric over the card front and gently press down, using your fingers to smooth the fabric. Allow the glue to dry. Decorate the fabric design
