You can make a homemade candle mold out of rubber and/or silicone, allowing you to make as many candles as you wish. A two-part mold is advisable for candlemaking because candles can’t be removed as easily from a one-part mold. You can use this two-part mold as many times as necessary to cast wax. Make a container mold out of straight-edged scrap acrylic. Set a candle on its side on top of a table. Arrange four pieces of acrylic into a rectangular shape around your candle. Slip a bottom piece underneath the candle. Position the acrylic so that there is approximately 1/4-inch of space around the candle. Glue the acrylic together using glue from a glue gun and allow it to dry. Make sure to put enough glue on the edges of the acrylic pieces to make the mold waterproof. Spread non-hardening type clay onto the bottom of the mold container just deep enough to cover the candle up to its midline when it will be later embedded in the clay.
