How Do You Make Treasure Map Invitations For A Pirate Party?
You’ll learn how to make really authentic-looking treasure map invitations for a pirate party! 1. Use your home computer to print your pirate invitations. Write the literature in pirate jargon, by calling the guests “mates” and using “yer” for “you,” etc. Make sure you include the date, time, place, RSVP, and of course, the guest of honors’ name. 2. After printing, brew 3-4 cups of STRONG iced tea. Using the baking sheet to hold the paper, pour the tea over each page, one at a time. Make sure each page is saturated with the liquid. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes. Dry the saturated pages on paper towels, or hanging from dry racks. While halfway wet, tear the pages to look “rugged” around the lettering of the invitation. Be careful not to tear the words! 3. Once completely dry (will take 2-3 hours) take the lighter and singe the edges of the paper with the fire. Be very careful not to catch the paper on fire. You may want to do this over a sink of water just in case!
