How Do You Make The Worlds Greatest Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies?
After many misses, I have finally developed the perfect oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe. I was very frustrated with traditional recipes that left me with flat cookies that did not hold their shape. But with much trial and error, I have discovered the perfect flour to oatmeal ratio. Try these cookies out with your family – they are guaranteed to please! And I find they are a great way to “trick” my children into eating their oatmeal! Preheat Oven to 375 degrees. In large mixing bowl melt soften butter in microwave. Add sugars, shortening, soda, cinnamon, vanilla powder and salt. Mix and then add eggs. Stir in flour and oats. Once batter is well mixed, add in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoons full on ungreased baking sheet. Make sure to leave about 1 1/2 inches between each cookie. Bake 10 minutes. Remove cookie sheet from oven and let stand for 5 minutes. Remove Cookies from cookie sheet and let cool 10 minutes on cooling racks. Enjoy!
