How Do You Make The Worlds Best Chocolate Chip Cookies?
There are a thousand recipes out there for chocolate chip cookies but this one is the best I have ever made. Unlike most baking recipes, this one you DO NOT preheat your oven. The super secret trick that makes these or any other chocolate cookies the bomb is that the dough must sit in your refrigerator for at least 12 hours and preferably 24 hours. I don’t know why this makes the cookies so much better but you have to trust me that it makes all the difference. So lets get the dough made first. Start by creaming together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Then beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Next, dissolve the baking soda in hot water and add to batter along with salt. Finally, stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts (nuts are optional of course). Your dough is now complete and you can cover and place in the frig. 12 to 24 hours later: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Drop the dough by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pan. Bake for about 10 min
