How Do You Make The Easiest Compost Ever?
I’ve talked about wet-weather and dry-weather compost, so now I want to discuss the easiest compost ever. This is a compost that anyone can do…honest, just give it a try… First, you want to figure out where you want your compost pile to be. Usually a corner of the yard away from the house works best. Second, start collecting the ingredients. These can be anything from fruit/vegetable peelings, cores, rinds, cobs, egg shells, etc. Meat and greasy foods don’t break down very fast and can attract pests and other animals, so these items don’t make good composting ingredients. You can keep these ‘scraps’ in a container that has a tight fitting lid. The lid will keep the bugs out and the smell in. Then when your container is filled, you can take it down to the compost pile. Leaves and grass clippings also can be added to help make your compost. Now all you need to do is wait. Just keep throwing things on the pile.
