How Do You Make The Best Homemade Barbecue Sauce?
I’ve grown up with this homemade barbecue sauce in South Alabama…and I mean about as south as south goes…We eat it on anything and everything! You can’t go wrong with it. This tastes like a little piece of heaven. You can put this on just about anything. It goes great with any kind of meat, it’s also great as a dip, you could almost drink it (I kid you not). My sister even eats it on bread it’s so good! You’ll learn each and every food there is for soppin’ up the liquid! It is unlike anything you’ve ever had! In a large pot, probably the largest you’ve got, combine all ingredients- ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, seasoning salt, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, paprika, crushed red pepper, whole lemon (sliced in thin slices). Bring to medium heat and stir until well blended. Continue to cook on medium heat for about 30-45 minutes, reducing heat to low after about 20 minutes.
