How Do You Make The Best Baked Ziti Ever?
This baked ziti will soon become a family favorite!! There are a few ingredients that make it unique and delicious. It is not very difficult, although it is a tiny bit time consuming. But definitely well worth it! Preheat oven to 350 degrees (175 degrees Celsius). Chop onion into to small pieces (I prefer very small pieces for a great texture). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes; drain. In a large skillet, brown onion and ground beef over medium heat. Add spaghetti sauce, and simmer 15 minutes. Butter a 9×13 inch baking dish, or you can also use cooking spray. Layer as follows: 1/2 of the ziti (it is not an exact science a good estimation will suffice!). Provolone cheese (I like to use the pre sliced kind and I generally lay it so the pasta is covered), sour cream, 1/2 sauce mixture, remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce mixture.
