How Do You Make Sugar Glider Toys?
Sugar gliders are tree dwellers. They like to feel safe inside of pouches and they love toys that swing. Making toys for sugar gliders is not difficult and it can be accomplished with a few household items and perhaps a trip to the fabric store. The size of the toys should depend on the size of the cage if they are to be used in the cage—or these can be used for out-of-the-cage entertainment. Cut two squares, each measuring 7 inches, from the polar fleece. Lay one square down, wrong side up. Place cording along one side allow it to loop around to the outside of the square and then down the other side. It should look like a purse with a handle. Pin the cording 1/4 inch in from the edges. Place the second square on top of the first one, right side up. Pin three sides together: the two sides with the cording and the bottom. Assemble the pouch with a sewing machine. Using matching thread, stitch over the cording, using a zig-zag stitch. Then sew the bottom using a straight stitch. Repeat
