How Do You Make Stuff With Duct Tape?
There are many different things you can make out of duct tape. Duct tape wallets, bags, purses and even clothing are becoming increasingly popular as DIY projects and even popping up at craft fairs and stores. Every duct tape project has its own requirements, but there are some techniques that work well across the board. Divide your project into geometrically simple parts. If you are making a bag, for example, think of the walls and straps as separate pieces. Figure out how they would all fit together. Get forms for each of your pieces. If you are making a shirt, cut a T-shirt at the seams to have separate sleeves and a front and back torso piece to work with. Or leave your form intact and just tape around it. Make a layer of duct tape around your form with the tape facing away from it. Use small overlapping strips of duct tape to construct the shape. Use scissors to cut it into the exact right shape.
