How Do You Make Stop The Gourami Fish Fighting?
Gouramis are often billed as peaceful community fish, but they can often be aggressive. Since males are the most colorful and that’s what most people want, any gourami you see at a pet store is likely to be a male. Put several males in a tank together, and you will often get aggression. I don’t know what size tank you have, but small size can exacerbate the problem. Try rearranging the decorations in your aquarium to try to “reset” their territories. I’ve also heard that edging your tank temperature down a degree can help quiet some aggressive fish, as long as your fish can handle it. If the aggression continues, separation is the only option.
