How Do You Make Spicy Smoked Turkey?
This turkey is soaked in a salty, sweet, citrus-y, peppery marinade, and then the smoking process adds its own unique flavor for a taste sensation you won’t soon forget. It’s also low-fat and heart healthy, so you can feel good about having a second helping. Combine thyme, cayenne, black pepper, sage, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, garlic powder, and sugar. Slowly whisk in the olive oil, soy sauce, vinegar, and orange juice. Squeeze the lime and stir in its juice. Chop both kinds of onions and the pepper(s) as finely as possible. Stir them into the marinade. Place the turkey breast in a large bowl. Loosen the skin and prick it all over with a fork.
