How Do You Make Southern Style Fried Fish?

0

Fried fish is a southern staple. It’s not only served at dinner, but breakfast too. Frying fish is real easy and you only need a couple of ingredients. This is so easy to do, the kids can help. Heat a large skillet with about 2 inches of oil on medium heat. Oil will be ready when a bead of water is dropped in and it pops. Mix all dry ingredients together in a large bag. Shake to mix. Pour milk into a bowl. Place fish, one piece at a time, into milk. Remove piece of fish from milk and place in bag. Shake well to coat. Place fish on plate. Repeat process with remaining pieces of fish. Drop fish into hot oil and fry for approximately 10 minutes. Cooking time will vary with the thickness of the fish. Turn fish occasionally while cooking. Fish is done when outside is a light golden brown. Drain fish on paper towel. Eat and enjoy!
