How Do You Make Slipcovers That Are Stain Repellent?
Making Stain Repellent Slip-covers is all about choosing the proper fabric. I’ve made slip-covers for several furniture pieces, and my proudest piece, the white slip-cover shown in the picture, has lasted almost ten years! It wears like iron, and stains just wash right out. I was lucky to find a fabric that resembled the white cotton look I wanted in a more stain repellant material. Choose instead a fabric that has a high polyester content, preferably 100% polyester. Synthetic fibers are much more stain resistant than natural ones. Wool is somewhat stain repellent but still not nearly as much as a synthetic. More and more fabric
