How Do You Make Simple Herbal Infused Oil?

0

If you have ever been to a gourmet food shop, you’ve seen fancy bottles of herbal oils and vinegars that can be quite pricey. Here is an easy way to make your own herbal oils at home for healing, massage, cooking or to give as a beautiful handmade gift. Wash and thoroughly dry your jar and lid. Label your jar with the date and contents. Fill jar about 1/2 to 3/4 full of dried herbs of your choice. Fill to top with oil of your choice and seal your jar. Make sure dried herb is covered in oil. Place in a sunny window for two weeks making sure to shake jar daily. After 2 weeks, strain oil through cheese cloth into decorative bottle or another dark colored jar. You may have to strain twice. Remember to squeeze excess oil from cheese cloth into your bottle as well. Seal your jar or bottle and keep in a cool, dark place for longer shelf life.
