How Do You Make Simple Easy Chocolate Toffee?

This is a great easy recipe to make when in need of a treat for any type of party (company, holiday, kids) or to give as a gift. It is always a huge hit. No one can seem to get enough! The best part is, you do not need a thermometer to make this tasty candy. Use your favorite topping to make it your own (eg. nuts, dried fruit, coconut, crushed peppermint). Ingredients: * 4 oz. Saltine crackers * 1 cup butter * 1 cup dark brown sugar * 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (recommended: Ghirardelli) * 3/4 cup chopped pecans (or other topping) Preheat oven to 400 degrees F Line cookie sheet with tin foil. A top the tin foil, align saltine crackers in a single layer. In a medium saucepan combine the butter and sugar. Bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes. Immediately pour over saltines and spread to cover all the crackers. Carefully transfer cookie sheet to oven (butter-sugar mix will still be liquid). Bake at 400 degrees F for 5 to 6 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly
